Why choose Centor blinds?
You should choose Centor blinds if you want an unobtrusive alternative to traditional window furnishings. They are perfect for large openings up to 7.6m, and are robust and easy to use, opening and closing with just a fingertip. Centor’s blind is also very versatile. It can be combined in a single unit with an insect screen, and can even double as a projection screen. The blinds are also green, improving an opening’s thermal performance by the equivalent of an extra layer of glazing. This makes heating and cooling more energy efficient.
Where can I buy Centor blinds?
Centor blind systems can be purchased from window and door manufacturers across Great Britain and Europe. Call us on 0121 701 2500 to find your nearest supplier of Centor blinds.
Who should install Centor systems?
Your blinds should be installed by a qualified tradesperson who is familiar with the system. Door manufacturers may offer an installation service or they may be able to direct you to qualified tradespeople in your area. You can also find contractors in the phone book, online or in printed advertisements. You should consult the relevant government body to ensure the contractor you hire to install your blind is appropriately licensed.
How tough are Centor blinds?
Centor has exhaustively tested the blinds to ensure they can endure real-life use. The blind system has withstood cycle testing to 400,000 operations, and been exposed to dust, mud, sand and salt spray. It has also stood up to impact testing with a 17kg punching bag 100 times, and considerable pushing, poking and prodding to simulate real-life use.
What do I do if I have a problem with my blind?
The operating mechanism of the Centor blind is not user serviceable. If you have any concerns about the manner of operation, then please contact Centor on 0121 701 2500 for further advice. Attempting to self diagnose the fault (beyond cleaning the bottom track) is not recommended, please give us a call – we’d love to have a chat.
Can I combine a screen and a blind in the one system?
Yes. Centor’s S1E Eco-Screen allows a blind and screen to be combined in a single unit. A combined system can be installed in openings up to 3.9m wide and 2.45m tall. Visit the Screens page to learn about the benefits of including a screen with your blind.
What maintenance is required?
